Hi, I’m Ashley Ball, the owner and lead photographer of Ashley Ball Photography. I’m a professional portrait photographer who specializes in headshots and branding, but my work goes far beyond just clicking a camera. I’m here to help you look your absolute best—whether it’s for your professional profile, creative brand, or personal milestones.
I work with a diverse range of clients, from corporate professionals who need consistent and polished headshots for their teams, to artists looking for something more relaxed and personality-driven. Authors hold a special place in my heart, and I’ve been fortunate to work with romance novelists, horror writers, poets, children’s book creators, fantasy and paranormal authors, and even the minds behind college textbooks. Every session is customized to ensure your personality or brand shines through.
Actors and models? Absolutely. I’ve collaborated with numerous agencies and bring industry insight to every session. I also love working with kids and teens, coaching them as they chase their dreams. My extensive experience in these areas allows me to create headshots that are not just beautiful, but also impactful.
I also thrive in large-scale settings, working with companies to photograph hundreds of employees at corporate events. I’ve directed teams of photographers and assistants to make sure these sessions run like clockwork. My on-site headshot stations are perfect for conferences, giving your company a polished, cohesive look.
Pageantry is another passion of mine. In 2024, I was the official photographer for The United States of America Pageant, capturing headshots and campaign images for their contestants and winners. It was an incredible honor to work with such inspiring women.
While headshots are my bread and butter, I also offer portrait sessions for high school seniors, families, dating profiles, maternity and newborns, generational portraits, and even pet portraits. My style is clean, crisp, and classic, focused on authentically capturing each client’s personality and showing them in their best light.
Before diving into photography, I spent years as a professional hair and makeup artist, working on sets in the San Francisco area with celebrities like Jay Mohr, and styling for commercials, campaigns, runway shows, and even a game show. This background gives me a unique edge—I’ve been trained to pay attention to the smallest details that make the biggest difference. I know how to ensure hair, makeup, and wardrobe look flawless on camera, and I bring that meticulous attention to every shoot.
